I love crocheting afghans in strips because they are not as bundlesome to carry with me when I have appointments (doctor’s office,  etc.)  In taking an afghan to work on, I don’t get as short on patience in the waiting room.  The doctor’s receptionist gave me this pattern that she had gotten from her mother, and I  thoroughly enjoyed making it. This afghan calls for 7 or 8 skeins of 3 1/2 oz. worsted weight yarn, size H crochet hook, and I made 15 strips.  Any colors could be used, but I chose the Ecru and Mint Green.
