One of my granddaughters wanted a very soft afghan and in Light Pink color, requiring 54 ounces, crochet hook size I with the finished size being 51” X 68”.  The pattern called for worsted weight yarn, but it worked-up well using a soft baby yarn.  The “Smooth Sailing” pattern is found in Leisure Arts Little Book “ARAN AFGHANS.”
